As best as we can fathom it, this is Hurtle and Myrtle teaching their youngsters how to fight. They do the other thing often enough during the breeding season but this was clearly a fight, not sex, complete with spectacular leaps and head kicks. Those two never fight normally but they took care to do it this day right in front of the youngsters, who paid careful attention and were soon practicing for themselves.
