Bird taxonomy generally follows Christidis and Boles 2008; mammals Menkhorst and Knight 2001. Sometimes taxonomy doesn't make sense — for example, how do you classify a landscape? So, for convenience, anything that doesn't belong to an orthodox genus and species is listed here under an arbitrary classification.
