The old bridge at Carathool still stands, though it’s been a long time since it opened for a paddle steamer on the way upstream to Wagga Wagga.
Sadly, in 2019 some bone-headed bureaucrat ruined this special and historic place by building a new and very ugly concrete bridge right next to the beautiful old one.
