Mugger Crocodile

Mugger Crocodile

This youngster, only about five or six inches long, was one of several in a muddy puddle on a track in the national park. Life in a puddle, apparently, is safer than in the nearby wetland where there are lots of larger crocodiles and herons and big fish all looking for something small and tasty to eat.
