Red gum arch

Red gum arch

Some years back there was a big flood on the Avoca River. These River Red Gums all germinated at the same time and, a few years later, grew out to arch over the Sunrasia Highway just west of Avoca. I first met them in the early 1980s driving through wispy fog on a dar winter night. Since then they have grown quite slowly and are just as lovely today.
