Like the Fuscous Honeyeater, the Brown Honeyeater is pretty much ignored by many birdwatchers, simply because it’s fairly plain-coloured and very common in the right habitat. This is a huge mistake: like the Fuscous, the Brown has a delightful array of calls, is always busy, and takes on any number of beautiful shapes that brighter, multi-coloured plumage would only distract the eye from.
